Countable and uncountable nouns.

Countable nouns have a plural (apples, chairs). Uncountable nouns don't (water, money, advice, information).

  • many + countable · much + uncountable (mostly in negatives and questions) · a lot of with both.
  • some in positive sentences and offers · any in negatives and questions.
  • a few (countable) · a little (uncountable).
