Hi Chloe,

I'm sorry I haven't written for so long! We moved to Sydney three months ago, and life has been really busy. Dad started his new job at a hospital, and I started at my new school in February. Here, the school year begins in January or February, not in September like at home!

At first, I felt quite lonely, but now I've made some good friends. My best mate, Lachlan, is teaching me to surf. Last Saturday we went to Bondi Beach. The waves were huge, and I fell off my board about twenty times!

The weather is brilliant, but everything feels different. Christmas here is in the summer, so we're going to have a barbecue on the beach. That will be really strange!

There are some scary animals too. Yesterday I found an enormous spider in my trainer. I screamed so loudly that our neighbour came round to check I was OK.

How are things in Leeds? Is it raining as usual? Write back soon and tell me all your news.

Lots of love, Ben
